NC The American Craft Council is a national, nonprofit public educational organization founded in 1943 by Aileen Osborn Webb. The mission of the Council is to promote understanding and appreciation of contemporary American craft. Presented in a prosperous city in a rapidly growing region that is the nations second largest financial center and home to the Mint Museum of Craft + Design. The show is staged in a handsome, contemporary facility. It is ideal for holiday shopping. Standards Statement To ensure a high level of quality in the work exhibited in American Craft Council shows, each jury is instructed to adhere to these guidelines whether produced in quantity or as one-of-a-kind, the ideal handmade work reflects excellence and the unique vision of its maker; it must be well conceived and skillfully executed, without technical faults.
